Description
The Nova T380 copper intrauterine device is a contraceptive medical device intended for women. This is a convenient method that lasts for several years and does not require additional actions after application. In addition, it is also undetectable during intercourse. The insert, also called a spiral, has a characteristic T-shape, and its core is wrapped with copper wire, which increases its effectiveness.
How does the T380 intrauterine device work?
The gynecologist places an IUD (coil) in the patient's uterus, where it releases small amounts of copper ions, causing a slight local inflammatory reaction. In addition, it restricts the movement of sperm, making it more difficult for them to reach the fallopian tubes, which are also obstructed by thickened cervical mucus.
