Description
Olfen ® Max is a non-prescription drug in the form of a gel with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling properties. The preparation is suitable for use in the symptomatic treatment of acute pain, swelling and inflammation in strains, sprains or contusions (soft tissue injuries). The medicine is applied locally on the skin.
How does Olfen ® Max 20 mg/g gel work?
- The active substance, diclofenac, belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Diclofenac works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which reduces the production of prostaglandins, substances responsible for pain, inflammation and swelling.
- Olfen Max is intended for the short-term local symptomatic relief of acute pain, inflammation and swelling in cases of soft tissue injuries.
- The gel has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect at the site of application.
Olfen ® Max, 20 mg/g, gel, 50 g is intended for adults and adolescents from 14 years of age.
