Indications :
Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in this medicine, works by reducing pain and fever.

It is recommended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate occasional pain such as headache, toothache, menstrual pain, muscle pain (contractions) or back pain (lumbago), as well as in conditions febrile and fever and pain after vaccination.

You should talk to a doctor if your symptoms get worse or don't get better and if the fever lasts more than 3 days or the pain lasts more than 3 days in teenagers or 5 days in adults.

Contraindications:
Do not take PADUDEN Express Forte:
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen, other NSAIDs (for example, acetylsalicylic acid, naproxen, etc.) or any of the other components of this medicine.

Before taking PADUDEN Express Forte, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Because medication with ibuprofen has been associated with an increased risk of birth defects/miscarriage, its use in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy is not recommended unless clearly necessary. In these cases, the dose and duration of administration will be reduced to a minimum.
In the third trimester of pregnancy, the use of this medicine is contraindicated.

This medicine passes into breast milk, but can be taken during breastfeeding if you use it in the recommended dose for as short a time as possible.

For patients of childbearing age, it should be noted that ibuprofen-type drugs have been associated with a reduced ability to conceive. Avoid taking this medicine if you are trying to get pregnant.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
If you experience dizziness, vertigo, blurred vision, or other symptoms while taking this medicine, you should not drive or operate dangerous machinery.

Administration method:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
• For adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 capsule of 400 mg every 6-8 hours, if necessary. You should not take more than 3 capsules (1200 mg) in 24 hours.
• Patients with kidney, liver or heart disease should consult their doctor as their dose may need to be reduced.
• Patients over 65 years of age: the amount that is administered should be determined by their doctor, as a reduction of the usual dose may be necessary.

The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest period of time necessary to relieve symptoms. If you have an infection, see a doctor immediately if symptoms (such as fever and pain) do not go away or get worse (see point 2).

Use by children and adolescents under 12 years of age:
Children under 12 cannot take this medicine because of the 400 mg dose of ibuprofen. There are other concentrations more suitable for this age group.

How to take the medicine:
This medicine is taken orally.
Swallow the medicine with a little water. Do not chew it.
Take the medicine during meals, especially if you have digestive problems.

The administration of this medicine is conditional upon the occurrence of pain or fever. If they disappear, the drug should be discontinued.

In adolescents aged 12 to 18 years, if the use of this medicine is necessary for more than 3 days or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted.

Composition :
- The active substance is ibuprofen. Each soft capsule contains ibuprofen 400 mg.
- The other components are:
Capsule core: macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, purified water.
Capsule shell: gelatin, partially dehydrated liquid sorbitol (E 420), purified water and medium chain triglycerides.
