Paracetamol 500 mg, 20 tablets, Helcor

Paracetamol Helcor belongs to the group of analgesic-antipyretic drugs (relieves pain and reduces body temperature in case of fever).

Paracetamol Helcor is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain in various locations (headache, sore throat, toothache, pain associated with colds and flu, muscle or joint pain or painful menstruation) and for the symptomatic treatment of fever.

This medicine is intended for adults, adolescents over 12 years of age and children over 6 years of age.

Composition:

• The active ingredient is paracetamol.
• One tablet contains 500 mg of paracetamol.
• The other ingredients are: corn starch, povidone K30, talc, magnesium stearate and colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide.

How to use:

• Helcor paracetamol tablets are administered orally with a sufficient amount of liquid (approximately 200 ml for adults), maintaining an interval of at least 4 hours between doses and the maximum daily dose.
• Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: The recommended dose is 500-1000 mg paracetamol (1-2 tablets) every 4 hours, administered as needed. Administration at intervals of less than 4 hours is not recommended. The maximum recommended dose for adults is 4 g paracetamol (8 tablets) per day.
• Children aged 6 to 12 years: The dose is 60 mg/kg per day, divided into equal doses, for example, 15 mg/kg administered every 6 hours or 10 mg/kg administered every 4 hours. Administration at intervals of less than 4 hours is not recommended.
• Children under 6 years of age: Paracetamol will be administered in an age-appropriate concentration and dosage form.
• Special patient groups: If you have mild or moderate kidney problems, caution is advised when taking this medicine.

Precautions:

• Before using Paracetamol Helcor, contact your doctor or pharmacist: if you have kidney problems, as the medicine will be administered with caution to patients with mild to moderate kidney failure, without the need for a dose reduction.
• If you are sensitive to acetylsalicylic acid and/or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
• If you frequently consume alcoholic beverages, as chronic alcoholism may increase the liver toxicity of paracetamol
• If you have pre-existing liver damage, liver function should be monitored during long-term treatment with high doses
• Do not use Paracetamol Helcor: If you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
• If you have liver problems, such as hepatocellular failure or active liver disease
• If you suffer from severe hemolytic anemia
• If you have severe kidney problems, such as severe kidney failure
• If you have been diagnosed with glucose-6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; In children under 6 years of age (due to inappropriate pharmaceutical form)
• Paracetamol Helcor can only be administered to adolescents over 12 years of age and children over 6 years of age.
• Do not give this medicine to your child without medical advice if they suffer from liver disease and/or are taking any other medicine containing paracetamol.
• Should not be combined with other medicines containing paracetamol
• Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment.
