Nattokinase is a proteolytic enzyme naturally obtained from the traditional Japanese food (Natto) from soybeans fermented with Bacillus subtilis natto.

Serrapeptase (Serratiopeptidase) is a proteolytic enzyme obtained by the controlled fermentation of non-pathogenic strains of the bacterium Serratia spp.
