Remiflu, granules for oral solution, 8 sachets, Antibiotice SA

Indications:
Remiflu is part of the group of drugs called analgesics - antipyretics.

Therapeutic indications:
Remiflu is a medicine against cold and flu, which contains three active substances:
• paracetamol which relieves pain and reduces temperature when you have a fever;
• chlorpheniramine maleate reduces nasal congestion, watery eyes and acts on sneezing-type phenomena.
• vitamin C (ascorbic acid) helps you replace vitamin C that is lost in the first stages of colds and flu.

Remiflu is a remedy used for the short-term symptomatic relief of flu, fever, chills and common colds, including headache, sore throat, discomfort and pain, nasal congestion, sinusitis, and acute nasal pain and catarrh.

The medicine is intended for use by adults and adolescents over 15 years of age.

Treatment with antibiotics may be necessary in case of bacterial infections.

Contraindications:
Do not take Remiflu if:
- you are allergic to paracetamol, phenacetin or other anti-inflammatories, pheniramine or other antihistamines or to any of the components of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before taking Remiflu, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Task:
Due to the absence of animal and human studies, the risk is unknown. Consequently, as a precautionary measure, this medicine should not be administered during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
If necessary, Remiflu can be used during pregnancy. However, you should take the lowest possible dose that reduces your pain and/or fever, and the medicine should be given for
the shortest possible time. Contact your doctor if your pain and/or fever does not go away or if you need to receive this medicine more often.

Breastfeeding:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine while breastfeeding.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
Due to the adverse effects it has (for example: drowsiness, sedation, confusional state, dizziness, visual accommodation disorders, etc.), the product may influence the ability to drive vehicles or use machines.

Administration method:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults and adolescents (over 15 years of age):
1 Remiflu sachet 2-3 times a day. The interval between administrations must be at least 4 hours.
If you suffer from severe kidney damage, the interval between administrations must be at least 8 hours.

The contents of a Remiflu sachet are dissolved in a cup of hot water (approximately 200 ml). A lemon-flavored drink is obtained that is drunk hot. Do not dissolve or administer more than one sachet at a time.

For the treatment of flu conditions, it is preferable to take this medicine with hot water, in the evening, from the moment the first symptoms appear.

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if the condition continues even after 5 days of treatment. Your doctor will inform you how long the treatment with Remiflu will last.
If you have the impression that the effect of Remiflu is too strong or too weak, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition:
- The active substances are: paracetamol, ascorbic acid and chlorpheniramine maleate.
Each sachet of granules for oral solution contains paracetamol 500 mg, ascorbic acid 200 mg and chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg.
- The other components are: anhydrous citric acid, sodium saccharin, sugar, lemon flavor.
