Description
The oral suspension is an antifoaming drug that ensures the breakdown of foam, which prevents the absorption of gases in the stomach and intestines. This allows gas to escape naturally or be absorbed by the intestinal wall. The drug breaks down the bubbles in the foamy mucus of the intestinal wall, but is not absorbed and leaves the body unchanged through the intestine. It is used:
- With the increased production of gases and their accumulation in the gastrointestinal tract (flatulence) with gastrointestinal disorders such as bloating, a feeling of fullness and tension in the epigastrium.
- With increased gas formation after operations.
- As preparation for a diagnostic exam in the abdominal area for imaging reduction of shadows caused by gas (X-ray, sonography) and as preparation for a gastroduodenoscopy.
- In case of poisoning with detergents (dishwashing agents, etc.)
