Ingredients:
The leaves of the plant Cassia senna L., fam. Cesalpinaceae contains anthracenosides, flavonosides, acid polyholosides, polyols, naphthalene derivatives, phytosterols, volatile oil, waxes, tannins, mineral salts, resins
Effect:
Laxative or purgative depending on the dose, by directly stimulating intestinal peristalsis.
Main uses:
Acute constipation, chronic constipation
Other uses:
Preparation of the large intestine for surgical interventions and investigations (colonoscopy, irrigoscopy).
Contraindications :
Pregnancy and breast-feeding, children under 12 years.
Preparation:
Infusion of 1 teaspoon herb to a cup of water.
Administration method:
Drink 1-2 cups of tea a day, for 10-12 days with a 10-day break.
