Properties:
- throat infection with group A ß-haemolytic streptococcus (also known as Streptococcus pyogenes) is the most common bacterial cause of acute pharyngitis and is also responsible for some skin infections such as impetigo and erysipelas;
- most sore throats are caused by viral infections that heal on their own without antibiotic treatment, which would be useless;
- the rapid test detects infection with group A ß-hemolytic streptococcus in a throat sample;
- recommended in case of sore throat, inflamed tonsils, enlarged lymph nodes, muscle pain and headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or apathy.
Way of ussage:
The sample is collected from the throat, using the sterile swab and wooden spatula provided.
The tampon is inserted into the extraction tube, over which the two extraction solutions from the box are added.
After the incubation time, remove the buffer and insert the test strip into the tube.
The result is obtained in 5 minutes.
