Viscalgic is an oral viscosupplement product indicated for the treatment and prevention of OA. It distributes a substantial amount of AH to joint tissues to relieve pain and stiffness and improve joint mobility and function.
Oral hyaluronic acid is absorbed and distributed into bones, cartilage and synovial fluid and is retained in those tissues for longer periods of time. As a result, the quantity and quality of hyaluronic acid is restored, thus ensuring good lubrication and shock absorption at the joint level.
