Acetylsalicylic Acid 500 mg, 20 tablets, Magistra

For mild to moderate pain, including headaches, myalgia, rheumatic joint and periarticular pain, neuralgia, toothache, and dysmenorrhea.

Indications:

• Combats fever
• Combats inflammatory phenomena in acute polyarticular rheumatism
• Relieves joint inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis.

Composition:

Tablets containing 0.500 g of acetylsalicylic acid.

How to use: 

The tablets should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of water, preferably after meals.

Adults:

• For analgesic and antipyretic effects, one acetylsalicylic acid 500 mg tablet (500 mg acetylsalicylic acid) is administered, repeated as needed at 4-hour intervals
• For anti-inflammatory effects, take 6-8 acetylsalicylic acid 500 mg tablets (3-4 g acetylsalicylic acid) daily, administered in divided doses at 6-hour intervals.

Children under 12 years:

• Administration for analgesic and antipyretic effects in viral diseases is recommended by a physician and under his or her close supervision.

Children over 12 years:

• For analgesic and antipyretic effects, administer 1/2 tablet of Acetylsalicylic Acid 500 mg (250 mg of Acetylsalicylic Acid), repeating as needed at intervals of 4–8 hours
• For anti-inflammatory effects in acute polyarticular rheumatism, administer 85–100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid/kg per day (not to exceed 3 g per day) in divided doses, at intervals of 4–6 hours, for 20–30 days. Two-thirds of the initial dose is then administered for 10–20 days, then 1/2–1/3 for another 30–40 days.
