Gaviscon Menthol, 12 sachets, Reckitt Benckiser Healthcare

Indications:
Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension in sachets belongs to a group of medicines called "reflux suppressants", which form a protective layer up to 4 times against the contents of the stomach, preventing gastric acid from leaving the stomach, where it acts, and from entering the esophagus, where it causes pain and discomfort.
This medicine is used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion (reflux-related) which occur, for example, after meals or during pregnancy or in patients with symptoms associated with reflux esophagitis.

Composition:
-The active substances in each sachet (10 ml) of oral suspension are: sodium alginate 500 mg, sodium hydrogen carbonate 267 mg and calcium carbonate 160 mg.
-The other ingredients are: carbomer 974 P, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), saccharin sodium, sodium hydroxide, natural mint flavour and purified water. This medicine does not contain sugar or colourings.

The medicine Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension in tablets is an almost white suspension with a mint smell and flavor.

Method of administration:
Adults, including the elderly, and adolescents aged 12 years and over: one to two sachets after meals and at bedtime or as recommended (maximum four times a day).
Children and adolescents under 12 years of age: should only be administered on medical advice.
If you take more Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension in sachet than you should
Taking too much of this medicine is unlikely to harm you. However, you may feel bloated. Contact your doctor if this symptom does not go away.
If you forget to take Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension in sachet
If you forget to take a dose, it is not necessary to take a double dose next time, but continue to take your usual dose at the right time.

Contraindications:
Do not take Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension in sachets:
-if you know that you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients of Gaviscon Menthol oral suspension in sachet, as breathing difficulties and skin rashes have occurred very rarely.

Precautions:
Consult your doctor if symptoms persist after 7 days of use.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
You can take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
