HiPP AR is intended for the dietary management of infants with a tendency to regurgitate. HiPP Anti-Reflux is used as food exclusively under medical supervision. A properly thickened formula limits reflux and reduces the frequency of regurgitation .
How does HiPP Anti-Reflux work?
Regurgitation can result from the immaturity of the infant's digestive system and goes away spontaneously as your baby grows and develops, most often around 4-6 months of age. Especially in the early stages of life, babies may release small amounts of milk after feeding. However, some babies may regurgitate more frequently. In this case, your pediatrician can recommend medical nutrition.
The addition of a natural ingredient, carob gum, gives HiPP AR a proper thick consistency and ensures that the meal stays in the stomach . This limits the reflux of food into the esophagus (reflux) and thus reduces regurgitation.
