Otipax solution, 16 g, Biocodex

Indications:
Otipax contains two active substances: lidocaine (local anesthetic) and phenazone (analgesic and anti-inflammatory).
Otipax is indicated for the local symptomatic treatment of certain painful conditions of the middle ear, with an intact tympanic membrane:
-acute congestive otitis;
-phlyctenular viral otitis;
-barotraumatic otitis.

Composition:
- The active substances are phenazone 44.83mg/ml and lidocaine hydrochloride 11.21 mg/ml.

Method of administration:
The recommended dose is 4 drops of Otipax ear drops, solution, 2-3 times a day, instilled into the external auditory canal of the painful ear, by gently pressing the bottle.
To avoid unpleasant contact of the cold solution with the ear, it is recommended to warm the bottle slightly in your hand before use.

Contraindications:
Do not use Otipax:
- if you are allergic to phenazone, lidocaine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
- if you have perforations of the tympanic membrane of infectious or traumatic etiology.

Precautions:
As a precautionary measure, it should be ensured that the eardrum is intact before administering the product. If a ruptured eardrum is found, intraauricular administration may bring the product into contact with the middle ear structure, with harmful effects on it.
The product may influence the results of anti-doping tests.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
In the absence of a ruptured eardrum, systemic absorption is unlikely. As a consequence, under normal conditions of use, this medicine, if necessary, can be used during pregnancy, as well as during breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines:
The medicine does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
