Otirelax drops, 15 ml, Rompharm

Indications:
OTIRELAX is used as an adjuvant in the treatment of earaches caused by otitis media, in patients with an intact eardrum.
Contains phenazone and lidocaine monohydrate. Phenazone is a substance used to
reduces inflammation and pain. Lidocaine monohydrate is a substance used for local anesthesia.
Otirelax helps relieve pain and inflammation in the ear, in patients whose eardrum is not

Composition:
Each milliliter of ear drops, solution, contains phenazone 45.5 mg and lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate 11.4 mg

Method of administration:
The recommended dose is 4 drops of OTIRELAX 2-3 times a day; these are applied to the external auditory canal.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days.
If symptoms do not improve after 2 - 3 days of treatment, the therapeutic approach should be reevaluated.
To avoid the unpleasant sensation caused by introducing the cold solution into the ear canal, it is recommended to bring the bottle to body temperature before administering the drops.
If OTIRELAX is used together with other ear drops, an interval of at least 30 minutes should be maintained between administrations.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to lafenazone, to pyrazole derivatives (metamizole, isopropylaminophenazone, propylphenazone), to lidocaine hydrochloride or to any of the excipients. Perforation of the eardrum of infectious or traumatic origin.

Precautions:
It is recommended to assess the integrity of the eardrum before administering OTIRELAX. The administration of ear drops to patients with a perforated eardrum may cause adverse reactions by acting on the structures of the middle ear.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
In the absence of a ruptured eardrum, systemic absorption is unlikely. Therefore, if suspicion of tympanic perforation has been ruled out, this medicine can be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Driving and using machines:
OTIRELAX has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
