Description
Bisacodyl VP is a medicine in the form of enteric tablets with laxative and carminative effects. It works by influencing the functioning of the large intestine, including:
- intensification of contraction and intensification of peristaltic movements,
- increasing the amount of unabsorbed water and electrolytes in the intestine.
The drug acts directly on the mucous membrane of the large intestine, stimulating the endings of the nerve plexuses. The action of the drug allows the loosening and movement of faecal masses in the intestine, which facilitates defecation.
