Description
Clotrimazole cream ATB 10 mg/g, 35 g, Antibiotice SA
Clotrimazole, the active ingredient in Clotrimazole Atb cream, penetrates the affected layers of the skin and attacks the fungi. The result is the destruction of the fungi and inhibition of their growth.
Clotrimazole Atb cream is indicated in the treatment of cutaneous and mucous membrane mycoses caused by dermatophytes, fungi, yeasts and microorganisms such as Malassezia furfur and skin infections caused by Corynebacterium minutissimum.
Composition:
- The active substance is clotrimazole.
- One gram of cream contains clotrimazole 10 mg.
- The other ingredients are: octyldodecanol, cetostearyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, benzyl alcohol, purified water.
Method of administration:
- Always use Clotrimazole Atb exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Clotrimazole Atb cream is administered cutaneously
- Apply the cream 2-3 times a day, in a thin layer and massage gently until the cream penetrates the skin.
- Generally, about ½ cm of cream is enough to treat an area the size of a palm.
- For infections of the labia (candidiasis vulvitis) and adjacent areas, candidiasis balanitis and inflammation of the glans penis, apply the cream to the affected area of skin (for example from the vagina to the anus), 1-3 times a day.
- For foot infections, it is recommended to wash and dry the feet, especially interdigital, before applying the cream.
- The duration of treatment varies depending on the severity of the infection and its location.
- Patients should consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve after 4 weeks of treatment.
- Towels, clothing, socks that come into contact with the affected skin areas should be changed daily. These simple measures will improve the positive course of treatment and prevent the transmission of the infection to other skin areas on the body and to other people.
