Dicarbocalm Control, 14 gastro-resistant tablets, Sanofi
Description
Dicarbocalm Control, 14 gastro-resistant tablets, Sanofi
Indications:
Dicarbocalm Control contains the active substance pantoprazole, which blocks the “pump” that produces stomach acid. This reduces the amount of acid in your stomach.
Dicarbocalm Control is used for the short-term treatment of symptoms of reflux disease (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults.
Reflux is the backflow of stomach acid into the esophagus (the tube that connects your mouth to your stomach), which can become inflamed and painful. This can cause symptoms such as a painful burning sensation in your chest that travels up your throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in your mouth (acid regurgitation).
Composition:
- The active substance is pantoprazole. Each tablet contains 20 mg pantoprazole (as pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate).
- The other ingredients are: Core: maltitol (E 965), crospovidone type B, carmellose sodium, anhydrous sodium carbonate,
calcium stearate.
Film: polyvinyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 3350, soya lecithin, yellow iron oxide (E 172), anhydrous sodium carbonate, methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1) (the dispersion contains polysorbate 80 and sodium lauryl sulfate), triethyl citrate.
Method of administration:
Take one tablet per day. Do not exceed the recommended dose of 20 mg pantoprazole per day.
You must take this medicine for at least 2-3 consecutive days. Stop taking
Dicarbocalm Control when symptoms completely disappear. It is possible that symptoms of acid reflux and heartburn may improve after just one day of treatment with Dicarbocalm Control, but this medicine is not intended for rapid relief.
Contraindications:
Do not take Dicarbocalm Control
- if you are allergic to pantoprazole, soya lecithin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Precautions:
- Before taking Dicarbocalm Control, talk to your doctor or pharmacist:

- if you have been treated for heartburn or indigestion continuously for 4 weeks or more.
Children and adolescents:
Dicarbocalm Control should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age due to a lack of information on the safety of use in this age group.
