Loratadine Slavia belongs to a class of drugs known as antihistamines.

Antihistamines help reduce allergy symptoms by preventing the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced in our body.

Loratadine Slavia relieves the symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (for example: hay fever), such as: sneezing, profuse nasal discharge or itching in the nose, stinging or itching in the eyes.

Loratadine Slavia can also be used to reduce the symptoms of urticaria (itching, redness, as well as the number and size of rashes on the skin).

The improvement of these manifestations is maintained for the entire period of the day and helps you resume your usual daily activities and sleep.

Composition:

• The active substance is loratadine
• One tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine.

How to use:

• Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you
• Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure
• The tablets are taken with a glass of water, regardless of the time of meals
• Adults and children over 12 years of age: take 1 Loratadine Slavia tablet once a day.

For children aged between 2-12 years: the dosage is based on body weight:

• body weight over 30 kg: 1 Loratadine Slavia tablet once a day
• body weight less than 30 kg: Loratadine Slavia 10 mg tablets are not recommended.

The pharmaceutical tablet form is not recommended for children aged between 2 and 6 years due to the risk of suffocation. There are suitable pharmaceutical forms for this age.

Contraindications:

Do not use Loratadine Slavia if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:

Before taking Loratadine Slavia, talk to your doctor or pharmacist, especially if:

• suffer from a liver disease.
• you are scheduled to perform any skin (skin) test for allergies, you must stop taking Loratadine Slavia two days before these tests, as the medicine could influence the test results.

Children:

• Do not use Loratadine Slavia in children under 2 years of age or in children aged 2 to 12 years with a body weight of less than 30 kg
• For children between 2 and 12 years of age and body weight less than 30 kg there are other more suitable pharmaceutical forms.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:

• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, Loratadine Slavia is not recommended
• Loratadine is excreted in breast milk.

Driving vehicles and using machines:

• At the recommended dose, Loratadine Slavia will probably not cause drowsiness or decreased reaction speed
• However, very rarely, some people may experience drowsiness, which could affect their ability to drive or use machinery.
