Indications:
The active substance of this medicine is xylometazoline. This causes the constriction of the blood vessels in the mucous membrane inside the nose, thus reducing its swelling from various causes, and makes it easier to breathe through the nose.
Maresyl is used for the short-term treatment of nasal congestion.
Composition:
The active substance is xylometazoline hydrochloride, 1 milliliter of solution containing 1 mg. 1 spray of Maresyl 1 mg/ml (= 90 microliters) contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 90 micrograms.
Administration method:
Before the first use, it is necessary to spray several times (4 times) in the air in order to obtain the uniformity of the dose. The bottle must be kept in a vertical position. If the medicine is not used for several days, at least one spray in the air, as a test, should be carried out to obtain a uniform dose.
Maresyl 1 mg/ml is indicated for the treatment of nasal congestion in children aged at least 10 years and in adults.
Dosage
The usual dose is 1-2 sprays in each nostril, at intervals of 10-12 hours (no more than three times a day) for a maximum of 7 days.
