Duphalac Fruit, 667 mg/ml oral solution, 20 sachets, Mylan

Indications:
Duphalac Fruit contains a laxative called lactulose. It makes stools softer and easier to pass by drawing water into the bowel. Lactulose is not absorbed into your body.
What is Duphalac Fruit used for?
Duphalac Fruit is used for the symptomatic treatment of constipation (irregular bowel movements, hard, dry stools) to produce a soft stool. For example:
- if you have hemorrhoids (hemorrhoidal nodules)
- if you have had surgery on your anus or large intestine
Contact your doctor if your condition does not improve or worsens after a few days.

Contraindications:
Do not take Duphalac Fruit:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to lactulose or any of the other ingredients of Duphalac Fruit.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Duphalac Fruit.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
Duphalac Fruit can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
No effects on fertility are expected.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.

Driving and using machines:
Duphalac Fruit has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
Always take DUPHALAC FRUIT exactly as described in this leaflet. You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Take your doses at the same time each day. Swallow the medicine quickly. Do not keep the medicine in your mouth. You can take Duphalac Fruit oral solution, undiluted or diluted in a little liquid. For Duphalac Fruit oral solution in bottles you can use the measuring cup provided. For Duphalac Fruit 15 ml single-dose sachets, tear off the corner of the sachet and take the contents straight away.

Dosage in constipation or when a soft stool is considered a medical benefit:
The dose can be taken once a day, for example during breakfast, or divided into two doses throughout the day.
For Duphalac Fruit - oral solution in bottles you can use a measuring cup. After a few days, the initial dose can be adjusted to the maintenance dose depending on your response to treatment. It may take a few days (2-3 days) before the effects of the treatment are apparent.

Composition:
- The active substance is lactulose.
One sachet of Duphalac Fruit oral solution contains 15 ml of lactulose equivalent to 10 g.
One ml of Duphalac Fruit oral solution contains 667 mg of lactulose.
Duphalac Fruit oral solution also contains plum flavour.
Duphalac Fruit does not contain any other excipients. However, it may contain carbohydrates such as lactose, galactose and fructose resulting from the synthesis method.
